inclusive.  welcoming. safe.  Thoughtful.

At Northhaven church, we believe that faith is a journey, not a mandate. Explore your spirituality freely and authentically in a community that embraces you - just as you are.

Who We Are

We are an inclusive family of Christ followers, inspiring, challenging, and equipping each other to participate in God's great story.   We invite you to join us as we move forward together in an effort to bring glory and honor to the name of Jesus.

We Welcome You

We exist for those individuals and families who take Jesus at His word: that ALL people are invited including LGBTQ+ affirmed, and women in leadership to follow Him. We offer an invitation and an open heart to everyone.

A Mission of Service

We are constantly looking for opportunities to help the poor, the needy, and the sick.  This is the great commission given to all Christians when he said, "whatever you do for the least of these, you do it for me" (Matthew 25:40).

"If Jesus were picking a church today, I feel like He’d vibe with this one. Come as you are, no weird pressure, just a small group of good people doing good things. When they say everyone is welcome, they really mean it. Refreshing!"   - Heather

"My family and I have been members of NorthHaven from its inception. It started as a small congregation of strong believers and has grown into a significant church of many more believers, actively involved in meeting the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of Norman and beyond. "   - Don

"Rev. Jakob Topper is one of the most courageous, compassionate, justice-oriented pastors I know. His advocacy locally on behalf of the unhoused population during the freeze in 2020, his passion for racial justice, and his support of the LGBTQ community makes NorthHaven a gift to Norman."   - Kevin

Freedom is Important

We promote and practice religious freedom

At NorthHaven, we believe that the freedom of an individual and congregation is a vital facet of faith. Every individual and congregation has the right and responsibility to relate to God, or not to relate to God, without the dictates of an imposed creed, interference from clergy, or intervention from civil government.  Personal submission to God is an individual choice. Jesus never coerced or demanded conformity, and He  spoke against those who used the religious beliefs and practices of others for their own political gain.
True spiritual transformation requires a personal choice. We encourage every person to pursue their personal relationship with God as they themselves feel guided to through the Holy Spirit. We do not stress dogma or demand blind loyalty. We promote and practice religious freedom, so that each one individual can work earnestly to develop their understanding and application of their faith.
