If you are thinking of visiting NorthHaven and need some basic information, here are some frequently asked questions to help you feel more comfortable when you come:
What time should I come to church?
The worship service starts at 10:30 a.m., however we would love it if you joined us at 10:00 a.m. for fellowship with coffee. We also have Bible Study that begins at 9:00 a.m.
What is the dress code?
Please come dressed however you feel comfortable. Many of our congregation wear business casual.
How long is the worship service?
Our worship service typically lasts from 10:30-11:30 a.m.
Do you provide childcare?
We provide childcare during the church service for children birth to age 5. We encourage our school age children to join us in service. By welcoming children of all ages at our church’s most sacred moments, they learn that nothing can separate them from the love of God. It is through our worship service that children can come to know God and not just know about God. By worshiping together with our children we pass on our traditions for praising God through music, proclaiming and hearing the good news, and offering our gifts and our prayers.
What should I expect in a typical service?
Cheryl Tarter will lead the congregation in a variety of hymns, some traditional and some modern. We could have an artistic demonstration from painting, to drama, to special music. We have readings directly from the scripture and some responsive reading. Dr. Mitch Randall will provide the sermon that is also broadcast live on 1400 AM.
How can I learn more about NorthHaven Church?
Several times during the year Dr. Mitch Randall and Missy Randall will have a NewComers Class. This six-week study discusses the four fragile freedoms, the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship, doctrinal beliefs and the missions of NorthHaven.
